The qualification includes diagnosis and rectification of: - Engine and component faults - Chassis system faults - Auxiliary equipment electrical faults - Identify and agree customer vehicle needs Students undertaking an NVQ will be assessed in the workplace. They will have to demonstrate skills and knowledge by collecting evidence of work. This evidence is presented in a portfolio. The assessor will advise how to generate, collect and present evidence. Students must also undertake IMI set online multiple choice tests. Assessment in workplace Level 3 NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Light Vehicle.Once you have enrolled onto the programme you will be assigned an assessor that will visit you in the workplace regularly. They will complete assessment plans and reviews with you to keep you on target. They will support you in the collection of the required evidence needed for your qualification through different assessment methods such as; professional discussion, observations, written questions, verbal questions, witness statements and any assignments.This may open the door to application for the VOSA nominated testers course.
