The following mandatory units must be undertaken by all learners: -Provide leadership for your team -Develop productive working relationships with colleagues -Contribute to the control of resources -Lead a team to improve customer service In addition to these mandatory units, there are a variety of optional units learners can select from in order to gain the required credits, such as; -Supervise food services -Supervise drink services -Supervise housekeeping services -Supervise reception services -Contribute to promoting hospitality services and products -Supervise off-site food delivery services -Supervise linen services - Monitor and solve customer service problems - Improve relationships with customers - Lead meetings The units you choose to study will depend on your specific job role, allowing you to tailor the qualification to your specific requirements. An assessor will also visit the work place, to carry out observations, professional discussions, and to set assignments. It is anticipated that the course will take 18 months to complete.Once you have enrolled onto the programme you will be assigned an assessor that will visit you in the workplace regularly. They will complete assessment plans and reviews with you to keep you on target. They will support you in the collection of the required evidence needed for your qualification through different assessment methods such as; professional discussion, observations, written questions, verbal questions, witness statements and any assignments.Candidates can progress to more senior roles within the Hospitality industry; it may also be useful to complete the CIEH Food Hygiene qualification.
