The tutor is passionate about portraiture and is looking forward to sharing this passion with her students. In this class you will draw from photographs; using mirrors and drawing ourselves; and by looking at each other. You will have a model for two of the classes towards the end of this course. This is for students who are complete beginners to drawing portraits and those looking to improve. I will tailor the class to suit your needs. We will begin by studying the anatomy and measurements of the head and shoulders and you will explore drawing the portrait through the use of different materials and approaches - gesture drawing, blind contour drawing, ink, charcoal on wet paper, coloured chalks / crayons and pencil drawing. Each week you will learn about a new portrait artist.
