Learn how to change aspects of photographs to enhance the finished picture, using the Photoshop program and its tools. You will work on pre-loaded images on the computer, so there is no need to bring your own camera/images. Techniques learned can be transferred to many other graphics programs, such as Photoshop 'Elements', the 'Gimp' or 'Paint Shop Pro'. Aspects covered will include viewing and amending contrast/colour balance, adjusting sizes for printing and email transmission, 'cleaning up' blemishes on images, joining images, adding text and effects, moving objects from one picture to another. No previous experience is required, although a basic knowledge of computers and dexterity with the mouse is useful. The tutor will lead, hands-on, using the computers and, time permitting, will be able to tailor the content of the workshop to meet specific learner requests.
