What will I do on this study programme? This study programme is for those interested in a career in professional design, administration or the supervisory side of the building industry such as civil engineering, architecture, estate management and surveying. Units covered include science and materials in construction and the built environment, construction technology and design in construction and civil engineering, project management in construction and the built environment, measuring, estimating and tendering processes, surveying in construction and civil engineering, building surveying in construction and building regulations and control in construction. How will I be assessed? There will be continuous assessment through work-related assignments plus end of unit exams. What options do I have after successfully completing? Construction Engineering, Foundation Degree Employment at a technical level, in a variety of occupations within the construction industry such as quantity surveyor, architect or civil engineer.
