What will I do on this study programme? This is a highly practical study programme that will develop your skills in the studio. You will do 18 modules, here are a few examples sequencing, sampling, recording studio techniques, mixing, production techniques, sound design, synthesis, the music industry (understanding the music business, how to survive and make money), creating music and sound for film and television (including Foley / SFX sound). Maths and English is a fundamental element of this study programme. Skills in Maths and English will be embedded into your academic/ vocational learning. If you do not have a grade C in Maths and/or English you will attend a discrete GCSE or Functional Skills class as part of your weekly timetable. How will I be assessed? Tutors and external moderators will assess your practical and written assignments throughout the study programme. What options do I have after successfully completing? Progress to Music Production, Foundation Degree (FdA) in partnership with Bath Spa University Other Degree-level study programmes. Job/career opportunities Performance and production, sound engineer or producer, front of house engineer, mix engineer, TV and film sound, foley artist, sound designer.
