This course is aimed at students who have very little or no prior knowledge of the Spanish language. 1. Introduce Yourself - Greetings & basic phrases. Numbers 1 to 12. Students will be able to say their names, where they live & their nationality. 2. Introduce Yourself - Learn the time oclock and half past. Family & the verb to have. Negative sentences. Numbers 12 to 20. 3. Introduce Yourself - Learn the time quarter past and quarter to. Days of the week, months & how to give a date. Continue with the verb to have. 4. Directions - Ask & give directions. Learn the names of different locations. Learn the full time 5. Directions - Enquire about distance. Learn the words near & far. Ask opening & closing times of different shops. 6. Directions - Ask for directions using, Is there....? Are there...? Get to locations using different maps & phrases/words like straight on, left, right, first on the left etc 7. Restaurants - Order snacks and drinks from a menu. 8. Restaurants - Book a table. State the date, the number of people & the time 9. Restaurants - Call the waiter. Order Starter, Main Course & Desserts. Ask for the bill. 10. Grammar - Basic infinitives and the verb gustar. 11. Grammar -Present Tense and how to build a question. 12. Revision - Students will look at previous topics at the restaurant, directions, introduce yourself….
