You will learn about a wide range of animal related subjects. These include; - Animal anatomy and physiology - Animal handling and safe working techniques - Planning and monitoring feeding and nutrition - Animal health monitoring and first aid - Business / retail skills - Animal behaviour and communication -Welfare and breed development - Aquatics husbandry and management - Exotic animal health and husbandry -Wildlife populations/ecology/conservation - Farm livestock husbandry - Animal training Throughout the course you may have the opportunity to work at a major animal visitor centre, a grooming parlour or welfare sanctuaries. You will also demonstrate your practical skills in our high quality college based outdoor enclosures and exotic animal accommodation areas.
