You'll learn the knowledge and skills required within sports management and performance development through studies, coaching and practical performance. This study programme will involve a number of units that cover a broad range of sport and fitness industry topics, these will be taught and assessed by both the Sports Department at East Kent College and Margate Football Club There is one mandatory unit which is Anatomy and Physiology and two compulsory units which are Fitness for Sport and Exercise and Practical Sports Performance, delivered at Margate FC. In addition, a number of optional units are also studied including; Running a Sports Event Mind and the Sports Performance The Sports Performer in Action Promotion and Sponsorship in Sport Lifestyle and Well Being Training and Personal Fitness Injury and Sports Performers Leading Sports Activities Profiling Sports Performance The delivery of this study programme will include the opportunity to lead, coach and take part in practical learning and assessment and the opportunity to gain employability skills and experiences through work related activities coordinated by Margate Football Club. In addition, students will complete the FA Level 1 Coaching qualification as part of their programme. This Study Programme will include English and Maths at an appropriate level, and it will support the development of skills towards employability.
