Introduction To Childrens Play

This course is a very hands on practical course looking at play from the childs perspective, exploring why children need to play and how they learn from it. Child development, the role of the adult, health and safety and equal opportunities are key themes that run through the course. These subjects will be covered through working on practical play activities such as using paint, natural and recycled materials, food and snacks, stories and music, playdough and developing imaginative play.
