We'll help you use a computer and guide you through some of the jargon. Here's what you will learn to do; Start up and close down a computer safely; Familiarise yourself with a computer keyboard and mouse; Basic introduction to Microsoft Word for word processing, formatting (changing the way documents look); Save your documents; saving, moving, copying, deleting, renaming files and folders; Explore the internet; Set up an email address; How to fill in on line forms. By the end of the course you will have gained skills and confidence in using a variety of software packages that are applicable to the workplace.
