This course is accredited by and in association with Sheffield Hallam University. Part-time blended learning - typically 2 full day workshops/classes at the College every 4-6 weeks. Your learning would be supported through online delivery using the College's VLE (virtual learning environment). As this course takes place through part-time blended learning the timings will be confirmed on application. This course is delivered in two stages with each stage taking approximately 12 months to complete. This course is for managers or supervisors working in Facilities Services roles from backgrounds such as: Facilities management suppliers, private finance initiatives, local authorities, public sector organisations, Higher Education institutions, the National Health Service, national or local government and private organisations. You will increase your understanding and awareness of the functions of your organisation and its business environment. You also develop your skills and abilities to help you operate at higher levels in Facilities Services roles and move into management positions. The course combines academic and practical work, with modules including: - Change Management - Introduction to Facilities Services - Reflective Management Practice - Risk/ Financial / Project / People Management We encourage you to view your workplace as a resource for learning and development. Many of your projects and assessments should be based on your workplace. This is not 'just' an academic course, the course content and assessment are fully integrated with work and in recognition of this the programme. It incorporates the requirements of the Higher Apprenticeship framework and the course is also accredited by the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM). At the end of the first stage you will be awarded the BIFM Level 4 Diploma and at the end of the second stage you will attain the BIFM Level 5 Diploma as part of this course.
