Gain the skills and knowledge you'll need to start a career in care, in areas such as social work, childcare, counselling or education. You'll come into College three or four days a week and go on a work placement one day a week, and during some weeks you'll spend the whole week on placement. You will study a variety of units including Individual Needs within the Health and Social Care Sectors, Anatomy and Physiology for Health Care Practice, Creative and Therapeutic Activities in Health and Social Care, and The Impact of Diet on Health. You will gain a BTEC Level 2 Certificate/Diploma in Health and Social Care and Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English or ICT.
