Psychology A Level

AS Psychology is the study of human behaviour. It will enable you to have a better understanding of how people think and behave in the way they do. Young people aged 16-18. This exciting and challenging A-level covers a range of topics that help you understand different aspects of human behaviour. Some of the core topics you will study include caregiver-infant attachments and how they affect our future relationships, how our memory works and investigating the factors that could distort the accuracy of eyewitness testimony. You will also learn about the role biology can play in influencing our behaviour and the biological and psychological explanations of mental disorders such as depression and phobias. Important debates in psychology will also be considered such as the `nature-nurture¿ debate and issues affecting research such as gender and culture bias. Throughout the course you will also be learning about how to plan, conduct and analyse research in psychology.
