The Access to Humanities and Social Science Intensive course prepares students for a degree in the Humanities or Social Sciences, from History to Psychology. This course is designed to meet the needs of students who, for work or other reasons, are not able to attend a conventional day-based Access course, or are not able to start in September. You will register for the Access to HE Diploma (Humanities and Social Science). For this Diploma, you will study academic Study Skills, and three subject options. You will attend on Saturdays and either one evening and an afternoon, or two evenings. The attendance pattern you choose may depend on your commitments, or your HE degree choice.You will also be expected to undertake private study of at least 15 hours a week. All materials will be available on the College's intranet, so that you can continue your study if there are times when you are unable to attend.
