This BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production is a practical, work-related course. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. As well as learning about the employment area you have chosen, you will develop the skills you need to start your Creative Media career including using industry-standard camera and lighting equipment and Adobe editing software. This vocational course is for young people aged 16-18 who wish to pursue a career in film, tv, media production and creative media industries. Over this two-year BTEC extended diploma course the subjects you will study include: Film and video editing techniques, compositing, Audio and sound production processes and techniques, Music video production , Film studies , Television and video studies , Photography and photographic practice, Writing for television and video including script-writing and narrative, Graphics and Print design, Motion Graphics, 2D and 3D Animation and Web Design including Adobe Flash. You will work on a variety of creative media work-related projects including fictional and factual film, advertising and TV idents.
