This qualification is intended as a taster qualification for those who wish to enter any of the following industries; plumbing, refrigeration and air-conditioning, heating and ventilating, electrical installation. This course is not designed to be a practical installation course as a lot of work within the building services disciplines is very much theory-based.There are 8 units to complete: -Understand and demonstrate safe working practices -Understand fundamental environmental protection -Understand fundamental scientific principles -Introduction to building services engineering -Understand and demonstrate fundamental refrigeration and air-conditioning operations -Understand and demonstrate fundamental electrical installation operations -Understand and demonstrate fundamental heating and ventilating operations -Understand and demonstrate fundamental plumbing operations Assessment for these units is by a mix of practical assignment and GOLA examination.
