This course is designed to introduce you to the work of the armed and emergency services. You will develop your skills in teamwork, people skills and improve your written and verbal communication skills. There will be visits to uniform service establishments to give you an overview and insight into the work of all uniform services. The course is practically based but requires students to build a portfolio. You will study 6 mandatory units and 2 optional units: -Employment in the uniformed services -Physical fitness -Teamwork and problem solving -Health, safety and hygiene -Map reading and navigation -Adventurous activities -Service routine -Competitive sports
