The Biomedical Science course is equivalent to 3 A Levels and is designed to give students a thorough background and understanding of science which will enable them to undertake further study at university or to start work as a science technician. Core units provide the backbone of the course which covers aspects of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The course is designed as a two year programme (equivalent to 3 A levels) but there is the opportunity of only studying for one year and gain a qualification equivalent to 1.5 A levels. Your study programme is designed so that you will be expected to be in college for at least 4 days/week. You will also be required to work independently on assignments outside of college hours.
