Carpentry for beginners

This course is intended to give a general overview of basic carpentry. The course will cover different basic joints, skirting and architrave and their purpose, how to design and plan small projects and how to select and use the correct tools as well as how to sharpen tools and maintain them. Health and safety will also be covered to ensure safe working practices. Students will need to provide their own safety boots and they need to be worn whilst in the workshop.
