This course prepares you for a wide range of careers in the sport sector. The course provides a specialist work-related programme of study that covers the key knowledge and practical skills required in the sport sector and is equivalent to three A Levels. The main focus of the course is sports development, coaching and fitness. Current involvement in organised sport, for example a member of a sport club/team, outside of college is an essential part of the course. When you have completed the course you can choose to gain employment or progress to higher education. Successful students have progressed to university studying a range of subjects including: PE Teaching, Sports Rehabilitation, Sport Development/Coaching, Leisure Management and Sport Psychology.
