The Level 1 Diploma in Bricklaying is designed to prepare you for entry into the industry as a trainee bricklayer. The qualification teaches you about the techniques used in all aspects of basic brickwork and has been developed for delivery in a training environment that reflects real working conditions. Approximately 60% of the course is based in the workshop and 40% is theory. The course comprises: general core units, brickwork specific units, practical assignment and multiple choice unit end tests. There will also be an opportunity to develop skills in a different trade, e.g. tiling or plastering.
