HNC Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment

This is a unique and dynamic two-year higher education distance learning programme designed for those employed, or looking for employment, in a technical or professional capacity within the construction industry.   The programme is delivered via distance learning, allowing you the flexibility to fit your studies around your work and home life.  You will be supported in your independent studies through regular tutorials online or in person with our highly experienced lecturer. You will gain a high level of understanding of the design, function, construction and statutory requirements for buildings of all classes, preparing you for employment opportunities in the construction industry.  The course also provides an ideal progression route should you wish to top-up your qualification to the Level 5 HND in Construction and the Built Environment.  Through our Virtual Learning Environment, you will be able to access video editing programmes and Microsoft 365 for free.     You will need to allow a minimum of ten hours per week to complete this course.

Name: HNC Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment Qualification title: BTEC HNC Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment The HNC programme consists of a minimum of eight units (120 credits). Each unit is assessed by a combination of assignments and project work through a Virtual Learning Environment.  These assessment methods are designed to review your understanding and knowledge relevant to the sector and will enable you to demonstrate how you solve problems, communicate ideas and present information through a variety of mediums. You will be expected to attend tutorials, online or in College as agreed with your lecturer to ensure you are making progress on the course.
