Sports Therapy, Health & Well-being (Physio)

The Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy is a technical level qualification aimed at developing the knowledge, understanding and skills needed for a career as a sports massage therapist, either employed or self-employed. It is a one-year course delivered at Derby College's Ilkeston campus. This qualification was developed collaboratively with input from the industry through the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and the General Council for Massage Therapies (GCMT).

Entry requirements

Learners are expected to purchase a Sports Department uniform to wear during practical sessions and theory-based class time. You may also wish to purchase your own massage equipment, fold away beds and oils in order to practise. This is not, however, a requirement of the course. A contribution towards trips and our end-of-year celebration will be required. Yearly gym membership is available for £50, with associated incentives provided.
