Leadership & Security for Higher Study in the Public Services

This study programme is an ideal route for learners who have a clear target for future studies at university. Learners should have a keen interest in the  Public Services, outdoor activity leadership or the security sector. The programme develops your knowledge and skills over two years, enabling you to progress to higher education studies. In both practical and theoretical settings, you will study advanced concepts in government, discipline, physical preparation, leadership, law, citizenship, command and control, and fitness testing.

Name: Leadership & Security for Higher Study in the Public Services Qualification title: 90-credit Diploma in Public Services (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment You will build a portfolio based around evidence generated by the various assessment methods in each unit. You are expected to work on multiple assessments at any one time. Entry requirements

You are expected to purchase a uniform to wear at College and for practical sessions. Kit costs will vary depending on the items purchased: the cost is non-refundable once the items are ordered. You are also asked to contribute towards the end-of-year celebration event and initial team building day. Total costs are approximately £130.      There may be additional events during the year to which you are expected to contribute. Financial assistance is available depending on your individual circumstances.   Yearly gym membership is offered for £50, with additional incentives included.   For applicants from outside the region or who travel over distance, the College has residential accommodation if required.
