The A Level course will allow you to build on the skills and knowledge you have acquired at GCSE, and widen and deepen your understanding of the language and culture of the countries where your chosen language is spoken, through the exploration of a variety of topic areas from social issues to film and the arts. A language A Level is a highly esteemed qualification and language skills are sought after in the workplace. The ability to communicate with colleagues in their own language in an international working environment is a clear advantage in the recruitment process. In addition to this, the transferable skills developed through language learning set linguists apart from their counterparts. We are in the fortunate position to be able to offer students weekly sessions with our languages assistants, during which they will have the opportunity to practise and develop their speaking skills. During the course, students are also encouraged to attend language conferences which focus on examination skills practice. Languages offered: French, German and Spanish
