Develop further skills in creating botanical portraits in a detailed and accurate style. Individuals who have already completed the Improvers and Intermediates course or who already have a proven experience of botanical drawing and painting. - To learn how to portray flowers and plants with aesthetic and artistic appeal, in a detailed and accurate style- To achieve this progressively through practical exercises, increasing observational drawing skills and application of watercolour techniques and development of previous experience.- To introduce a different range of mediusm to use in botanical art and to explore these further. Entry requirements

The course lessons will be supported by other resources such as factsheets. The tutor produces and prints these, which occasionally include colour and/ or A3 handouts, which are essential for some subjects. The termly cost for handouts is 3.00 per student, payable at the beginning of the course.(For the first 2 weeks we will be concentrating on drawing skills.
