Use of Mathematics AS Level

AS Use of mathematics is a newer qualification comprising one module in pure mathematics and two applied units (statistics and decision maths). All modules are examined in the summer, two of which are advanced Free Standing Maths Qualifications. AS Use of Maths is an ideal course for students who gain a grade B in their Maths GCSE and who are looking to extend their learning of mathematics to supplement non-scientific subjects by using and applying mathematics, rather than developing theoretical ideas.

In the A2 year there is one piece of coursework in the Core 3 module (completed in June/July of first year). For Use of Maths there are two pieces of coursework in the A2 year.
