At AS and A2 Level you will develop your ability to understand the spoken and written language and to use the language for the purposes of communication and the exchange of information and ideas. You will gain an awareness and understanding of the culture, society and political life of Germany and German-speaking countries. The course is demanding, but enjoyable and stimulating. The language learning skills you develop will be of use should you wish to acquire knowledge of other languages in the future.The knowledge you gain of German and European culture, society and politics may well be of benefit in other areas of study, hence the study of any language at this level compliments any combination of subjects.
