The AS course consists of:Unit 1: Planning and Financing a BusinessExamined by a 1 hour 15 minute paper which is 40% of the total AS mark.Unit 2: Managing a BusinessPeople, Finance, Operations Management, Marketing and Competition; examined by a 1 hour 30 minute data response paper which is 60% of the AS mark.The A2 course consists of:Unit 3: Strategies for SuccessExamined by a 1 hour 45 minute case study paper, which is 50% of the A2.Unit 4: The Business EnvironmentExamined by a 1 hour 45 minute report and essay paper, which is 50% of the A2.

Name: Business Studies AS Level Linear Qualification title: GCE AS Level in Business Qualification type: GCE A/AS Level or equivalent Assessment This subject is assessed by four exams. The AS exams will be sat in May/June. The final A2 part of the course will be examined in June of the second year. Candidates require an ability to learn key concepts accurately; to interpret and manipulate data for structured questions; and to cross reference material for the essay, report and case study.
