Film Studies A Level L3

This course expands your current knowledge and awareness of the diversity of film as both art and business. Throughout this course you analyse the different ways in which film is constructed and the various ways in which an audience will respond to a film. Issues of representation are also central to this course as is an analytical mind. You are encouraged to explore the social, political and historical contexts that have affected the types of film that are made, as well as engaging in a diverse range of film outside the classroom. NB: This course is mostly theoretical and there is a focus on analytical essay writing. There is some practical element within the coursework.
