You will focus primarily on two areas – the philosophy of religion and religious ethics. You will consider various influences and challenges to Christianity, as well as looking at specific ethical theories such as Utilitarianism and their practical application. In your second year you will examine religious ideas including “miracles” and “life after death.” Further consideration will be given to ethical concepts. This will include the conscience and the application of ethical theories to relevant areas including business and the environment.
