Are you interested in a career in Construction when you leave school but not sure whether you wish to follow the craft route or the building services route? Then this City and Guilds Level 1 Certificate/Extended Certificate course, available at both our Castleford Campus and our Lightwaves Construction Centre in the city centre, is ideal for you. You can choose one of two pathways Building Services where you will gain an introduction to both plumbing and electrical installation or Construction where over the academic year you will gain an introduction all aspects of construction, bricklaying, carpentry and joinery, plastering, ground-works, electrical installation and plumbing. These skills will be developed both in college workshops and projects outside College. These skills will help you to start building a career in construction.
