Kitchen Services Intermediate Apprenticeship Level 2

This apprenticeship is designed for individuals employed in the hospitality industry as trainee chefs, fast food service assistants and kitchen assistants and porters who need to develop or consolidate their skills. You are required to take three mandatory units which cover aspects of maintaining a safe, hygienic and secure working environment, working effectively as part of a hospitality team and maintaining food safety within a hospitality environment. You then have a choice of a wide range of optional units covering different kitchen roles. This allows you to tailor the apprenticeship to meet the needs of your work place. In addition to the Diploma in Kitchen Services, you will study the Certificate in Hospitality & Catering Principles (Kitchen Services), employment rights and responsibilities plus personal learning & thinking skills. As part of the Apprenticeship you will also be required to work towards Functional Skills in Maths and English.
