Community Sports Leadership Award

Learn to lead groups of people from varying backgrounds, ages and abilities. You will learn how to plan, conduct and evaluate a sports session as well as how to umpire and referee different sports. There are both practical and theoretical modes of study. All students must complete a ten hour minimum voluntary leadership placement in the community. The following units are studied: Organisational Skills, Safety in Sport, Know Your Friends and First Aid. An interest in working with children and leading groups of all ages is essential.
