You will study 6 core units including Sustainable Construction, Building Technology in Construction and Health, Safety and Welfare in Construction. You will also study 12 Optional Units during the two year period and these will have an architectural/design related theme, such as Computer Aided Drafting in Design, Graphical Detailing in Construction and Construction Design Technology. Other units such as Surveying in Construction will also be studied during the course, making a total of 18 units studied in the 2 years. The College has new computer facilities with 3D projector and video - conferencing plus new state - of - the - art surveying equipment, 3D printing and laser cutting equipment for modeling. Having a BTEC 90 credit Diploma in CBE will exempt you from 9 of the units required for the full Extended Diploma.
