Develop your English to support your use of general computer skills. Useful for understanding the language of word processing; emails; excel spreadsheets; CVs and access to essential websites e.g. direct.gov. This course will help you to understand the words you hear and follow the instructions you are given as a beginner computer user. You will work independently and also work on core skills in groups. Your development will be formally assessed using qualifications at an appropriate level, most likely to be at Entry 2/3. You will consider the benefits of progressing to other classes. For more information please read the Course Information Sheet. There are regular points in the year you can join the class. it is helpful if you a qualification or solid English skills at Entry Level 1. This class may suit leaners with E3/Level1 English skills but very low in confirdence using computers. The learner's journey will be as follows: an induction and skills review period followed by learning assessed by one or two qualifications.
