The units of this course cover a range of practical elements of the Travel and Tourism industry including many business topics which are applied to suitable companies. Students are given the opportunity to plan events and holidays based on given criteria so an interest in the organisation of such scenarios would be suitable. Some of the topics covered include demonstrating good customer service in a travel and tourism setting; researching the reasons for the popularity of certain destinations; how organisations within the industry market their products and services to the public; and planning and running an event as part of a team.
