Aimed at school leavers or those new to the industry, this is an ideal introduction where you'll learn tree climbing, tree surgery, pruning, felling, machinery operations, estate skills and planting. You can progress onto the Level 3 Extended Diploma, work as a tree surgeon, or work for the local authority after completing this course. COURSE CONTENT * Tree identification * Tree climbing * Pest and diseases * Plant and soil science * Forest and woodland management * Machinery operations This course has a highly practical base, with real-life industry practical activities and projects. To make the experience as industry related as possible, many projects are included in the delivery of the course.
