This course will give you the opportunity to achieve the Diploma Level 1 in Plastering. Whilst primarily aimed at school leavers, the course is open to anyone who wishes to pursue employment in the Construction Industry and achieve a nationally recognised qualification in Plastering. If you are looking for a varied career, where anyone may and often does get to the top, using a combination of energy, ability and sound training, then this is the career for you. The Diploma Level 1 will give you the training and skills required to enter the industry and is a direct link to an NVQ. About the course This course is as flexible as possible with the majority of time spent in a practical environment. The course delivery will include: - Demonstrations. - Practical workshops. - Theory. - Assignments. - Job related knowledge. - Project work. Areas of work include: - Carry out safe working practices in construction. - Information, quantities and communicating with others. - Building methods and construction technology. - Prepare background surfaces and plaster materials. - Apply plaster materials to internal backgrounds. - Produce components from moulds. - Lay Floor Screeds.

All assessment is continuous and an integral part of the training process and takes place (with prior agreement) throughout the whole course year.
