This course will introduce the type of knowledge and understanding required when working in childcare, education and play work. This foundation level course provides you with the opportunity to develop basic skills in caring for children. You will learn about children at different stages in their growth and development. You will also learn how to care for and educate children and how to work with parents, carers and other professionals in this field. Course units include; Sharing Learning Experiences with Children, Growth and Development of Young Children, Respecting and Valuing Children, Childrens Play and Leisure Activities in the Community, Preparing for your Next Steps, Understanding Play for Early Learning, Craft Activities for Young Children, Science Activities for Young Children.
