This course will help you develop your practical skills within a range of art and design specialist areas. During the first year of the course you will be introduced to some of the materials, techniques and processes associated with Fine Art, Photography, Graphic Design and Fashion and Textiles, developing practical skills across the range. In addition to this you will expand your contextual understanding of Art and Design and develop your research skills. During the second year of the course you will specialise in Fashion and Textiles. During the course you will produce work that investigates and develops both your creativity and theoretical knowledge of Fashion and Textiles. You will develop your skills in a wide variety of different techniques and learn to use specialist materials, equipment and processes. You will then have an opportunity to develop your own responses to a range of exciting vocational briefs.
