Before starting the course Candidates will complete a basic skills scan to ensure that this is the right level for them. The British Computer Society (BCS) Level 2 Certificate in IT user skills (formally known as ECDL Extra) qualification is split into 4 modules: Word Processing , Spreadsheets, Presentation and Improving Productivity Using IT (Mandatory). To gain the full Level 2 qualification candidates must complete all 3 units and the mandatory unit. The BCS Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills provides you with the skills required to use standard computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software. The units ensure you have a wide range of skills. The Improving Productivity Using IT unit ensures that you learn the most effective and efficient ways to use the software in a working environment.
