This course will provide you with the floristry skills necessary to start your own business or pursue further learning in the field. As a student on this programme you will strengthen your talking, listening, report writing, presentation, communication and research skills. Alongside this you will develop technical skills in numeracy, communication, information technology and softer skills in problem solving, teamwork, time management and customer service. As employers are increasingly valuing these softer skills, we place specific emphasis on them on our course and we will encourage you to, for instance, nurture your presentation skills by presenting a proportion of your assignments verbally and in groups. We will also improve your time management skills by enforcing strict deadlines and you will receive the chance to participate in a mandatory work placement, to give you a first-hand experience of the business perspective within the floristry industry.
