This course, taught by a professional portrait artist, will help you develop the skills required to create portrait drawings you can be proud of! We look at standard portrait drawing techniques, and make these accessible to anyone, though some basic drawing skills would help. We cover a range topics including: Basic portrait drawing skills -if you are new to the course, you will learn specific methods to create a likeness. We'll look at drawing facial features, simplifying the face, the use of proportion, and using the 'block in' method to get it right every time. Understanding how to put 'life' into a portrait drawing - taking it beyond just a likeness Please note: This course concentrates on portrait drawing only - there isn't time to do any painting on the course.
