This course is designed to prepare students for entry to degree level Art & Design programmes. It is fast paced, helping learners to develop both in conceptual and practical skills needed for the next level of education. The course offers the chance to build upon already acquired skills, develop independence and an ability to critically develop ideas and thinking around a wide range of art and design disciplines. An experimental approach is required to develop manual skills as well as a willingness to embrace accidental results. The course culminates with a final major project that tests student's ability for in-depth enquiry, critical analysis and exploration of media to create an ambitious outcome.
