UPDATED 20161123 13:10:00

A-Level Film Studies will enable you to deepen your understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of film; the major art form of the Twentieth Century. The interaction between spectator and film is central to this course. There is a strong emphasis on the Filmmakers’ and audiences’ roles as “makers of meaning”, allowing you to analyse the film as a text in its own right and begin reading the visual. During the two-year course you will also have the opportunity to create your own short film.
