This course is intended for people working within a business environment as reflection and work based experience is a major part of the lessons and the assessment. There are up to eight units of study which covers the skills and knowledge you need to be effective at this level; including crucial soft skills; critical thinking abilities; and finding and implementing innovative solutions. All units cover a broad range of core and specialist topics such as:Managing improvement - You will learn about the use of Quality systems to ensure your meet the needs of your customers. You will analyse the quality systems used in your organisation and evaluate the effectiveness of these systems in satisfying your customer needs.Managing individual development - You will learn about performance gap analysis linking to organisational strategy; and identify how the development of individuals within your team should link to strategy. You will then analyse gaps in performance and develop a plan that will minimise any gaps identified and ensure that objectives are achieved.Managing Recruitment - You will learn about HR practices and the role HR plays in recruitment and selection. You will analyse the techniques used in order to ensure that the right candidates are recruited into your own area of responsibility; and evaluate these techniques accordingly.Managing own CPD - You will learn about the importance of CPD and how effective professional development will maintain your focus on your aims and objectives for long; medium and the short term. You will learn about learning styles; reflection and SMART planning to ensure that you have devised and managed your own CPD over a period of at least 6 months. NB This unit is provided as a distance learning unit and will be supported by tutorials; workbooks and e-based learning.Leading innovation and change - You will analyse the difference between Innovation and Change; and establish the importance of change management in current practices....
