This course is intended for people working within a business environment as reflection and work based experience is a major part of the lessons and the assessment. There are up to 11 modules within this qualification and applicants will have practical experience of the following subjects within the workplace:Delegating Authority - You will learn what effective delegation and empowerment is; and how to ensure your delegation technique is motivational and developmental for your staff. You will apply the delegation techniques within your workplace and evaluate your effectivenessManaging Personal Development - You will learn the importance of your own personal development and how to plan and map out your development going forward in order to achieve your goals and aims. You will produce your own development plan that specifically links to your organisational goals and your own personal goals. NB This unit is provided as a distance learning unit and will be supported by tutorials; workbooks and e-based learning.Motivating People in the Workplace - You will learn how to effectively motivate your teams; with strong consideration of various motivational theories. You will analyse the motivational practices used within your own organisation and apply the most effective motivational techniques within your area of responsibility.Managing Equality and Diversity - You will consider the difference between Equality and Diversity; and analyse the importance of each. You will link your learning around legislation and organisational culture to your own workplace; assessing areas for improvement.Understanding the Management Role - You will learn about the importance of the middle manager and the challenges that a middle manager may face.
