Pottery in the Summer: All Abilities

Join a friendly group of pottery students in the bright new purpose built studio. Discover the fun and satisfaction of making things from clay. Beginners will be introduced to a number of hand building techniques, as well as being offered tuition on the potter's wheel. Students with experience at all levels will be encouraged to develop their skills and make new original work.

Demonstration and short talks to the whole, or part of the group, supported by illustrated fact sheets, books and video clips covering new techniques. The resources in the studio, and provided by the tutor, stimulate the imagination and seed ideas which individuals may develop themselves. In these friendly and lively classes, students share ideas, and learn new techniques together, inspired by potters from ancient and recent history, and many world cultures. Entry requirements

An apron. Tools will be discussed at the first class. Beginners will be able to borrow tools for this short course.
